not bad :D

it got better than i expected it to, i think this would do much better with other samples tho. the melodies were great tho :D it just need some polishing here and there. i loved it when the song took a break and only had the guitar as a buildup.

Thanks. 'The Lost Tide' is the techno version of this song. Go check it out if haven't already. It might be more your speed. Thanks again.

Chip-breaky

This song really gave me a positive suprise, i love how its full of suspense and how its kinda ominous, but witout ever kicking it into full action. wich makes it unique. the title fits the song really well. it wassnt so much of a listen song as it was a bacround song, but sometimes thats just good. i could see this beeing used while you have your last chat with the final boss in a 2D game. :D keep at it!

blackduckie responds:

The "Chip-breaky" thing in this song kinda just came out of nowhere, while I was experimenting with phaser automation. I actually attempted at giving the song some breakdown into a sort of DnB a few times, but it just came along in a way which doesn't really seem to fit any genre. I try to keep my music from being really repetitive, because I know what it's like to hear a really cool beginning to something and just hear it repeated over and over again until it's just annoying, and I don't want that to happen with anything I make. (Though it has happened with some of my older songs.) I do improvise, though. A lot. I can never really think of anything I make as "background music" when I've just finished making it, because while you're making it, you have to listen to it, but I know what you mean. And it does sound a bit empty; it could do with some unrelated sound effects over the top, which brings me the 2D game thing you mentioned. I don't know about a final boss battle, but I like that idea! :D And I usually spend a fair amount of time with a dictionary and thesaurus to find the titles for my songs, but this one was just kind of random.
Anyway, thanks for the review, I was surprised to see one from you, as you're one of my favourite artists, thanks!

ahh ^^

untill the other guitar kicked in, this reminded me alot of the um.. town theme for the first town in final fantays 8. cant remember the name right now >_> this was really nice and relaxing :) i liked it alot! its kinda sad, in a way..

k-309 responds:

well, i'll take your word on that one lol. not too familiar with final fantasy. thanks for the review =]

=D nice

reminds me of an rpg map track or something similar. not bad! the drums could have been stronger, but then again maybe that would ruin it? not really my style, but its well made and sounds good! :D great work on this one :)

giovanni808 responds:

Thx for the review ^^

not bad!

woot. i liked the glitching you had going on, and the guitar seemed to fit well! however i miss a bass in this song. otherwise, awesome work! keep at it :D

YingYangCrunk responds:

Yeah, you're right. But this is the first song I made on my new computer and I didn't have the full FL installed. I just had a demo of it running and I made this in a day or two with it constantly open.

Thanks for the advice. I'd revise it if I could, but I couldn't save the project. I might just layer a bassline over the track itself one day though

haha ^^

nice stuff :D cd quality on this one! loving the text. one of the best vocal tracks ive heard in a long long time here on ng :D awesome!

Monkeywithumbs responds:

Thank you Waterflame :D

wow!

nice :D this sounds really professional! it just seems like the mastering is alittle off. like the whole song sorta has a filter. but other than that i cant find a single thing to complain about. this was a oldschool rock track at its best! and its nice of you to dedicate it to something like that. makes it even more meaningfull :] great work!

dogukakugi responds:

thanks. it WAS filtered to get rid of the noise and to balance the sound of each instrument.

it is, it is! 1337

Raveable :D reminds me of many songs, without really reminding too much of them, wich is a good thing! great mastering, and nice basslines. i just wish it was longer and kicked off rather than ending. great work! keep at it :D

DJ-Frosted responds:

XD!!!!! woot i was going for 1337 :D

hmm.. :D

i really like how it has that oldschool rock feel to it.. it had some parts where my speakers died a bit, but elswhere the mastering where ok. only thing i diddnt like that much was the constant xylophone.. it kinda ruined the feel. all in all good work, i like it =D

svere responds:

Thanks for the review!
